Sakarya School of Engineering and Architecture, which was opened in 1970, formed the core of Sakarya University, which aims to raise individuals with all the necessary equipment required by modern civilization.

This school was transformed into Sakarya State Architecture and Engineering Academy in 1971, and between 1982-1992, it taught as a Faculty of Istanbul Technical University.

Sakarya University was established with the law numbered 3837 and dated 3 July 1992.

Our university, which has rapidly completed its academic and technical infrastructure among the universities established after 90, is the first and only state university to have ISO-2002 Quality Certificate and "EFQM Excellence Competency Level Quality Certificate, and It sets an example for many universities with its breakthroughs.
